Independent Age believes no one should face financial hardship in later life. Yet currently over 2 million pensioners live in poverty, with millions more coping day to day with precarious finances and unstable levels of income. Financial hardship is a significant problem for many people in later life, but it is often misunderstood, stigmatised and not widely discussed.
