Ask your MSPs to take action on pensioner poverty in Scotland!

There are 150,000 older people living in poverty in Scotland and 80,000 in severe poverty.

Without action across various levels of government at UK, Scotland and local authority level these numbers will continue to rise, putting many older people across Scotland at risk. A pensioner poverty strategy is needed to identify and progress solutions, and importantly, set up a clear way to check how these solutions are working.

Without action to protect older people in Scotland who are experiencing financial hardship, the situation will get worse for many. Will you write to your MSPs to ask them to call for the Scottish Government to put in place a pensioner poverty strategy to support older people in poverty? Urgent action is needed to ensure dignity and financial security for all as we reach later life.
