Ask your MP to tackle poverty in later life ahead of the Budget

There are around two million older people living in poverty. With Rachel Reeves due to deliver her budget at the end of October makes this a good time for her to bring around positive changes to how older people are experiencing poverty.

The UK Government must start taking poverty in later life seriously.

This is why Rachel Reeves, the Chancellor, needs to take this opportunity to address issues such as the withdrawal of the Winter Fuel Payment for people who don't receive Pension Credit, bringing in social tariffs on utility bills, and keeping the uprating of Local Housing Allowance so it continues to cover at least the rent on the lowest 30% of properties in every area.

Will you email your MP asking them to write to Rachel Reeves on the topics important to you.
